The association

The "Tourismusverband Saechsisches Elbland" incorporated society was founded in 1991 as one of seven regional tourism associations in Saxony. The area of the Saxon Elbe region lies to the left and right of the river Elbe and between the cities Dresden and Torgau. The domicile of the office is in Meissen.

The function of the association is to support the tourism in the region:

• tourism policy
• tourism marketing
• networking of touristy offers

The association represents the interests of its members in several bodies and umbrella organisations as well as in local and national affairs.

The ordinance of the association contains the duties, responsibilities and authorisations of the association and of its members.
