Grossenhain region – soft hills and flowery meadows

This is a region of soft hills and flowery meadows on the river Röder. The city Großenhain is located 30 kilometres north-west of Dresden, and 17 kilometres east of Riesa.

Next to Großenhain, guests will find the romantic castle Schönfeld with its imposing wooden tower and the sophisticated parkway, which create an impressive atmosphere. The building is also often used for exhibitions or concerts.

Close to the town there is an airfield which offers visitors to take off for a fantastic flight above the beautiful scenery.
