The Exhibition Hall
The Exhibition Hall houses an unrivalled collection of Meissen porcelain. The collection documents the history of Meissen® porcelain from its beginning to developments at the present day.
The Exhibition Hall gives its visitors a comprehensive overview of how the styles of Meissen porcelain® have developed. A range of porcelain is on display, from tiny thimbles to the 3.5 metre high centrepiece for the dining table of King Augustus III.
The Exhibition Hall is just one part of the extensive Meissen® museum open to the public. In total, the Meissen manufactory is home to around 20,000 porcelain pieces, of which 3,000 are on display in the Exhibition Hall. In order to provide a complete picture of the creations of the Meissen manufactory, the collection is continuously updated with the addition of carefully selected pieces from the current manufacturing line.
The exhibition is chronologically ordered and offers an interesting and varied tour through the history and styles of Meissen porcelain® right through until the present day.
