Wine pleasure with certification
Unique in Germany – a regional award for restaurants with wine atmosphere. Clear criteria have to be fulfilled. Only then do the taverns get the certification.
You have to look for the wooden plates with a grape where the wording "Besonders empfohlen an der Sächsischen Weinstraße" ("Specially recommended along Saxony's Wine Route") is engraved. There you should enter. In these establishments you will get expert consultation with regard to wine and be able to see the sights along the Wine Route.
You have the choice of many different kinds of restaurants:
from rustic-style country inns, historical restaurants with collections of wine-growing, cosy basement vaults, romantic patios for warm summer evenings up to classy restaurants in leading hotels with modern atmosphere.
