Saxony's Wine Hiking Trail
Next to the River Elbe Cycling Path and Saxony's Wine Route there is Saxony's Wine Hiking Trail. On this trail, which is about 90 kilometres long, you can enjoy the grapes and the beautiful landscape. You will pass by the nicest vineyards, viewpoints and wineries. The historic cities Pirna, Dresden and Meissen – with their unique sights like the castle in Pillnitz, the Church of Our Lady in Dresden and the china factories in Meissen – will impress you.
The great variety of restaurants and wineries on the way will turn your tour into a culinary treat.
Saxony's Wine Hiking Trail is generally signposted with the logo of Saxony's Wine Route (a ruby-coloured grape).
